TEXT MESSAGE CONSENT
WeMinister SMS opt-in
Last updated: September 11, 2026
WeMinister sends ministry text messages only after the volunteer makes an affirmative choice. The consent box is optional, unchecked by default, and available in the volunteer’s signed-in account settings.

How the opt-in workflow works
- The church adds a volunteer’s mobile number to its private WeMinister roster; adding a number alone does not grant consent.
- The volunteer signs in with their email or phone number and private PIN, opens the text-message choice, and checks the box voluntarily.
- WeMinister records the affirmative choice and date before routine ministry texts become eligible for delivery.
- As an alternative, the church may send one permission request. The volunteer must reply YES before routine messages begin.
Opt-out and help
A volunteer may uncheck the setting in the signed-in portal or reply STOP at any time. A STOP reply prevents further routine texts. Replying HELP returns information about the WeMinister program and available choices.
